(MYFOX NATIONAL) - Actor Nicolas Cage has fallen on hard times recently having two homes foreclosed and facing a $6 million tax bill. Cage is suing his former business manager, Samuel J. Levin, for $20 million claiming Levin sent him "down a path toward financial ruin."
Luckily for Cage, he has some rich friends who can help him out.
According to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton , fellow actor Johnny Depp is coming to the aid of his good friend.
A source told the Daily Express , "Johnny called Nic and basically told him not to worry and he'd help him and sort everything out. Johnny feels he owes his career to Nic and now wants to repay him -- if Nic agrees."
Depp was a struggling musician when he met Cage in the '80s. Cage reportedly recommended Depp to his agent, through which he landed his first role in the horror movie franchise "A Nightmare On Elm Street."
"Johnny has never forgotten what Nic did for him," the source added.
Cage isn't the first celebrity to run into financial problems. Many high-profile entertainers have filed for bankruptcy in recent years including Kim Basinger, Burt Reynolds and the singer Meatloaf.
